This week Sunderland announced the signing of Josh Scowen from QPR. The fee for the player is undisclosed, however, it is the first money signing the club has made this season.
When the club announced that the player had been signed on Twitter, fans were happy with the signing. They think he could make a big difference to the side. He is hardly a prolific goalscorer from the midfield position, with one goal and one assist from 20 appearances this season. However, transfermarkt.co.uk indicates that he can play right-midfield and right-back, suggesting that his game is much more defensive.

Do you think Scowen will be a good signing for Parkinson?
Yes
No
Despite the fee being undisclosed, fans were shocked that their club was willing to part with money for the player altogether. They think someone has replaced their owner, Stewart Donald.

What do we think?
If the club are willing to part ways with precious money for the player, hopefully, they have done their research into how he will fit into the team. Assuming that they have, he could be exactly what Phil Parkinson needs to push onwards for a promotion to the Championship at the end of the season.
