Sheffield Wednesday are through to the fifth round of this season’s FA Cup having defeated Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road on Friday night. The Owls took the lead just before half-time but their progression was sealed when Sam Winnall finished off a devastating counter-attack.
Garry Monk will have been thrilled to see such an encouraging response from his side so soon after they were thrashed by Blackburn Rovers in the Championship.
The home side went on to pull a goal back through Nahki Wells late on but it proved to be nothing more than a consolation. Whilst Winnall’s finish was expertly taken it’s was the build-up play that has left the Sheffield Wednesday supporters in awe.

Seeing it in slow motion… Holy hell that was a good ball from Reach. Those who doubt him are utterly crazy.

What do we think?
The victory will give the Owls a much-needed confidence boost as they look to keep their hopes of finishing in a play-off position alive. The South-Yorkshire club currently sit in tenth position but are only four points off of Preston North End in 6th place having played a game less.
