Wednesday recently lost their Championship game 5-0 to Blackburn Rovers and have now won only one of their last five games in the league. During that time, they have beaten Leeds United but have lost to Stoke, Cardiff and Hull City too.
Garry Monk’s men managed to beat Graham Potter’s Brighton in the third round of the FA Cup by a 1-0 margin. An Adam Reach goal in the second half proved enough for them to set up a tie against QPR.
The club has already lost to QPR early in the season, as goals from Jordan Hugill proved too much for the Owls in August.
What do we think?
This thing comes at the right time for the club. The 5-0 loss has left many fans unhappy and taking this step makes them a happier bunch.
