Sheffield Wednesday striker Steven Fletcher suffered a knee injury during the club’s FA Cup third-round tie at Brighton earlier this month. The Owls won the game by a goal to nil, eliminating their Premier League counterparts and progressing to the next stage of the competition.
For Garry Monk, he would have probably preferred to lose at the Amex Stadium rather than losing his top goalscorer for a such a significant amount of time at such a crucial stage in the season.
His side are just four points off of Preston North End in sixth with a game in hand and stand a real chance of making this season’s play-offs.
Can the soon to return Steven Fletcher fire the Owls into the playoffs?
Yes
No
The club have recently posted a video of the Scotland international in training, working his way back to fitness and the fans can’t wait to see him back in action.

What do we think?
Steven Fletcher has scored 12 league goals this season in just 22 appearances this season, proving to be an instrumental figure in The Owls’ efforts to try and achieve promotion to the Premier League. The sooner he returns to fitness the greater Sheffield Wednesday’s chances are of securing a play-off place.
