Yesterday, Sheffield United pleasantly announced that the club’s ownership confusion was finally being put to an end. The announcement claimed that an ongoing litigation battle had ended and that Kevin McCabe must sell his shares in the club to H.R.H. Prince Abdullah bin Mosa’ad bin Abdulaziz Al Sa’ud. And while the news could potentially result in some financial investment into the squad, it will first likely bring some peace of mind to confused fans.
When the club announced the news on Twitter, fans were thankful to McCabe for his dedication to the club. They wish him no ill wishes, despite admitting that the court appeal was not in the best interest of the club.
Now let's move on!!

Had a lot of time for McCabe but he was naive entering into a deal the way he did and it backfired on him. Wish he’d have had the grace to take it on the chin and step back but hey ho.
Onwards now without uncertainty and with a new owner who seems to love the club.— Kerry (@uptheblades) January 21, 2020
Thank you for you efforts Mr McCabe I wish you no ill but an appeal wasn’t in the clubs best interest

Do you think Sheffield United will be better off with the new owner?
Yes
No
Other fans welcome McCabe to just relax and enjoy the games as a fan now.
Great news, now we move on! BUT, now is the time for our board to show some class & not make it difficult for McCabe (lifelong Blade) to attend games & be given the respect he deserves.

Brilliant news. The real estate assets being transferred and completed in a couple of months, is even better news.

What do we think?
The ownership change will likely result in some long-term changes at Sheffield United. But what those changes will be, remains a mystery. For now, fans will just be happy to finally know who is the owner of their precious club.
