Sheffield Wednesday have completed the signing of Alessio Da Cruz on loan for the remainder of the season.
The 23-year-old has struggled for first-team opportunities at Parma but could be just what Garry Monk’s side need in order maintain their push for the play-off positions.
What have the Owls fans made of the signing?
Welcome aboard Alessio

What do we think?
Da Cruz spent the first half of this season on loan at Serie B side Ascoli for whom he made 15 appearances and provided 6 assists. The forward, who can play from the left, right or centrally (as per Transfermarkt.co.uk) is a former Dutch Under-20 international.
Having come through the ranks at FC Twente in the Netherlands, Da Cruz made the move to Italy back in 2017 when he signed for Novara Calcio who now play in the third tier. His parent club Parma currently occupy seventh place in Serie A and given their impressive showing so far this season it was becoming increasingly difficult for the striker to break through into their first team.
This is a move that feels right for both parties, Da Cruz has proven he can score goals and with Steven Fletcher still out injured, Garry Monk will be hoping his new signing can fill that void.
