In Thursday’s press conference Steven Gerrard told the media not to expect many incoming signings from the Glaswegian side in January.
It is clear, from the results they have achieved this season, that Gerrard’s squad is already capable of winning game after game. It appears as if Gerrard is hesitant to spend unnecessary money on a team that is doing just fine.
Bringing in a new signing could disrupt the winning mentality that Gerrard has cultivated at the club already, and one fan fully agrees. The former Liverpool midfielder revealed that he doesn’t think the starting lineup needs to be changed but would bring in a few squad players to keep the starters on their toes.
A Gers fan thinks Gerrard’s words are all smoke and mirrors. He predicts a new signing imminently.
Defo agree here. Couple more quality players to keep everyone on their toes if we could afford. Even a good Loan player wanting to prove they should be playing

Does Gerrard need to deepen his squad in January?
Yes
No
Some fans point out that a new striker is required, though. While they are confident in Alfredo Morelos, these fans recognise that he won’t always be available. The depth in their striking department isn’t deep enough.
We really need an other striker.Defoe is a great goal scorer but he doesn’t suit every game as we seen against Killie.Morelos could get injured or suspended at any time, don’t take the risk Rangers, get someone in.

What do we think?
While many fans agree that their side is good enough to win the club’s 55th league title, they don’t want to take any chances. There are quite a few fans who want assurance that, if the starters receive injuries or suspensions, there will be players ready and waiting to make the jump to the starting 11.
