The January transfer window can often see teams make slight changes to their squad in order to help get them across the finishing line at the end of the season. Rangers are taking this opportunity to drop some dead wood this month. One of the players on his way out is Welshman Andy King (Sky Sports). The midfielder joined Rangers on loan from Leicester in August and has only played 69 minutes of football this season (transfermarkt.co.uk).
When the club announced that they were terminating the loan deal with Leicester, fans weren’t surprised. They don’t think he was at the level needed to play for Rangers anyway. They wish him all the best, however, as one fan had high expectations when the player first signed.
Had high hopes for this. Very bizarre situation. Wish him best of luck for the future

Not good enough for rangers, simple as that, couldn’t dislodge any of our starters

He was never getting a game with us. No where near good enough. All the best tho

Unlucky player in his whole career, he wore the jersey, so good luck to him

Can Andy King turn get his career back on track?
Yes
No
Another fan can’t believe that he has even played five games for the Gers. Needless to say, King hasn’t made an impact at all. One fan suggests that Rangers shouldn’t rely on loan deals in the future.
5?? I genuinely only remember the League Cup game at East Fife

No more loans please

What do we think?
King’s stint at Rangers has been quite a failure. At 31 years of age, the Premier League winner will need a stroke of luck if he is going to see out the rest of his career as a regular starter.
