Some Celtic fans are making it very clear that they would like to have former striker Moussa Dembele back at the club as soon as possible.

Dembele has been linked with moves to Chelsea in recent weeks, with the January transfer window currently in full swing. Manchester United have also been linked with a move for the French striker this month.

Celtic fans: Would you like Dembele back?

Give him back, Lyon!

The Lyon Twitter handle recently posted a message on social media, talking about their striker. And it was hijacked by Celtic fans, who made it clear that they want Dembele back at the club if possible.

So far this season, Dembele has made 29 appearances in all competitions for Lyon. He has found the back of the net 15 times so far, racking up a tally of five assists as well.

Dembele was at Celtic from 2016 to 2018, as he had arrived at the club from Championship side Fulham. In his time at Parkhead, Dembele racked up a tally of 94 appearances in all competitions for the club. He scored as many as 51 goals and picked up 18 assists on the way too.

He left the club in the summer of 2018 to join Lyon for a fee of £19.7 million. For them, he has scored 35 times in all competitions, assisting 11 times as well.

What do we think?

Celtic only recently signed Patryk Klimala, meaning they have three striker options in Odsonne Edouard, Leigh Griffiths and Klimala. Any move for a striker like Dembele doesn’t make sense. But Celtic fans have every right to dream.
