Some Celtic fans have been left in disbelief for as to how much they are getting in the sale of forward Lewis Morgan to Major League Soccer side Inter Miami.
Scottish outlet STV’s journalist Raman Bhardwaj has recently reported that the Hoops have recently accepted ‘a substantial six-figure bid’ for the former Sunderland man from the David Beckham-owned club. The figure is said to be considerably more than the £250,000 Celtic paid to St. Mirren for Morgan in the January of 2018.
Celtic fans: Has the Morgan news shocked you?
Shocked and delighted!
He doesn't deserve that much
Celtic fans have paid heed to this piece of news and when CelticBible relayed it on Twitter, they were ecstatic. They can’t believe that their club is getting a big fee for Morgan.

So far this season, Morgan has been out of favour at Parkhead, with Odsonne Edouard being the club’s first-choice striker. But Morgan was getting first-team football when Edouard was going through injury issues towards the end of the year. He has made 18 appearances in all competitions but has played 899 minutes of first-team football for the Hoops.
Five of the total 18 appearances for Morgan have come in the Premiership, but he has scored once in the UEFA Europa League. Another goal of his came in the Europa League qualifying stages early in the campaign. He also has three assists to his name whilst he has been used on the left and the right flanks.
In the second half of the previous season, Morgan was on loan at League One side Sunderland. He made 22 appearances in all competitions for them and scored twice, assisting four times. Morgan has also made two appearances for the Scotland national team.
What do we think?
Any profit on a Morgan deal will be huge for the Hoops. His numbers show that he never got going at Parkhead and naturally, that would lead to a reduction in value. As per Transfermarkt, his value has stayed the same since he came to the club. And if Miami are offering them a higher fee, it will be big for the Hoops.
