Some Celtic fans are bashing their club’s recent links with Lechia Gdansk right-back Karol Fila in the ongoing January transfer window.
The Hoops have been linked with a whole host of players, with Slovan Bratislava striker Andraz Sporar one of them. But Daily Record, who have sourced their own information from a Polish Twitter account, have added a new name to the basket, with the outlet saying that Lechia Gdansk youngster Karol Fila is also a potential target.
They say that Neil Lennon is keen on bolstering his defensive options, apart from also looking add a central defender.
Celtic fans: Do you want Fila at Parkhead?
No chance, we have Frimpong
Get him, he improves our side
Indeed, if the alleged interest is true, it would appear some Celtic fans aren’t too pleased at all by this and are mocking the pursuit of the 21-year-old.
We need a striker for cover and to eventually replace edoaurd and then we someone who knows how to learn from mistakes and set up tactics that work when we’re pressed and put under pressure

As things stand, Jeremie Frimpong is the Hoops’ first-choice right-back, with another summer signing in Hatem Abd Elhamed also in the pecking order. Mortiz Bauer joined the club on loan in the summer and he’s third in the pecking order.
As for Fila, he is a Poland Under-21s international currently. The right-back made his debut for the Polish Under-21s side in March 2019 and has become a regular for them since then. He has a total of 11 appearances for the side, three of which came in the last year’s Under-21s European championships.
He is currently the first-choice right-back at Lechia. This season, he has made 23 appearances in all competitions and also has five assists to his name. He was a regular last season too, having made 32 appearances in all competitions while scoring twice and assisting once.
What do we think?
Celtic are pretty much loaded in the right-back position currently. They have enough men there and they should focus on other positions that need an influx of quality and numbers. With Frimpong rising up the pecking order, having a player like Fila will only hinder his development.
