Some Celtic fans have been left ecstatic at footage of Ismaila Soro after news emerged on him.
The Daily Record had reported back in early December that the Hoops were scouting Bnei Yehuda’s midfielder Soro and fresh reports have provided an update about his situation. They say that the 21-year-old has recently been snapped with agent Dudu Dahan, who has worked with the Hoops on multiple deals over the years.
Celtic fans: Can Sorro be the next Kante?
He sure can be!
That's a bit too much
This speculation and reached Hoops fans and a Celtic fan-page called Everything Celtic have relayed the news and posted highlight footage of the midfielder on Twitter.

He looks a player

A fine looking player.

Ideal. Looks as though he has bundles of energy. Which we have been badly lacking in the middle of the park for a while.

One fan even stated that he looks like a young Victor Wanyama, which would certainly benefit the Hoops if he ends up being half the player the Kenyan was during his time at Parkhead, should he join. Indeed, the Spurs man managed to produce 13 goals and nine assists in 91 appearances prior to his exit, as well as helping the Hoops secure three trophies.
Like A Young Vic Wanyama

As things stand, the Hoops have usually been using a 4-2-3-1 shape. Callum McGregor and Scott Brown have been the regulars in the double pivot. McGregor has made 36 appearances in all competitions for the club, scoring six times and assisting four times. As for Brown, he too has played 36 games in all competitions for the Hoops.
As for Soro, the 21-year-old has played 22 times in all competitions of his club Bnei Yehuda. He has been a regular in the defensive midfield for the club and it yet to score or assist this season.
The Ivory Coast man was a regular for them last season too. He made 35 appearances in all competitions for them, also playing in defensive midfield. He also assisted twice in the club’s Israeli League campaign.
What do we think?
Soro will add more depth to the Hoops midfield and they need depth in that part of the pitch, considering how Brown and McGregor are their only consistent options in the heart of the park. Soro’s numbers show that he can be a very reliable player at a very young age. For someone who is 21, he has a good resale value too.
