It has been reported that transfer rumours linking Samuel Chukwueze to a move to Anfield are false.
According to James Pearce of The Athletic, he is “not aware of any truth” in the recent rumours linking the winger to the club.
It was reported recently by the Foot Mercato that Liverpool are “weighing up a move” for the winger. But after this latest update from the Liverpool journalist Pearce, it appears there is no truth in this rumour.

The 20-year-old, who is currently valued at £27 million by TransferMarkt, currently plays for Spanish club Villarreal. In the original report, it was alleged that the Spanish club were “willing to consider” an offer of £34 million for the winger.
So far this season, Chukwueze has made 18 appearances for the Spanish club. In those appearances, he has managed to register three goals and pick up three assists along the way.
According to TransferMarkt, Chukwueze is predominately a right-winger but has played on the left and centre positions in the past.

If the rumours linking Chukwueze to Liverpool were real, the Reds would be looking at a young prospect with a bright future. But with current Liverpool wingers Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah being the club’s top two goalscorers so far this season, it would be unlikely that Chukwueze would replace either of them in the current team.
Should Liverpool allow any of their current wingers at the club to leave in the next summer transfer window when the current season has ended, maybe a move for Chukwueze could be on the table.
