Supporters of Wolverhampton Wanderers have shown their delight over a report that the Old Gold are set to sign Leonardo Campana.

As shared by Tim Spiers on Wednesday night, according to Primicias, the deal to bring the 19-year-old forward to England is done (via Tim Spiers), which had fans delighted.

Will Leonardo Camapana be a signing for the first team or development squads?

First team, he has the talent

Development, on for the future

The young Ecuadorian has featured in 21 games for Barcelona SC Guayaquil so far this term, in which he has scored four goals and assisted three in all competitions (as per Transfermarkt).

According to the report, Wolves are set to sign the 19-year-old on, roughly, a £15,000-a-week contract, which had fans pleased with the business.

What do we think?

Following the departures of Patrick Cutrone and Rafa Mir, Wolves are desperate for striking backup and the 19-year-old may be able to provide that until a better backup is found.

Furthermore, the reported £15,000-a-week contract does not represent a huge outlay for the Old Gold should he have first-team involvement, making the move relatively low risk.
