Wolverhampton Wanderers fans have reacted to news that was relayed by Tim Spiers on the club’s planned renovations of Molineux.
According to the Atheltic reporter, the Old Gold have a number of plans surrounding the renovation of their home and that there is no plan to leave Molineux (as per Tim Spiers), however, some fans found what he relayed to be bad news.

Stadium development is needed fast, getting a few extra deckchairs out in the rain is not the solution.
I love what’s happening @Wolves but this is a bit disappointing.

Not meaning to sound negative as love where wolves are at the moment but reading between the lines of lack of decent signings & now developments on hold are fosun struggling after the collapse of Thomas Cook? is money now a bit tighter?…

Would you mind if Wolves left Molineux and built a brand-new stadium similar to the Etihad Stadium?Yes, we'd lose some of our historyNo, we have to upscale at some point |
The Old Gold have played their trade at their Molineux home since the ground’s inception in 1889 and boasts a capacity of 31,700 seats (as per The Stadium Guide).
Despite Molineux hosting the club for over 130 years, some fans felt that Spiers’ report actually suggested that the owners could be interested in a move away and that it may not be a bad thing.
Although not a popular move it would be much cheaper for the owners to build a new stadium from scratch could also develop an u23’s stadium on the same site bit like Man City?

I think the original stadium plans are being thrown out the window. The club is growing and there is demand to watch the team. After visiting all the grand stadiums of whom generate alot of income, Wolves want that also. Molineux at present looks basic.

I think they want to move to a new location, but are keeping it under wraps until the team is at a level where there’ll be less of a fan mutiny.
Either that or temporarily play somewhere else during the development.

I’ve got to say it’s disappointing to hear that the main redevelopment is being put on hold. It doesn’t feel like they are quite so committed to keeping the club at Molineux in the longer term.

What do we think?
It seems strange that so many would believe that the club is angling to move away from Molineux when Tim Spiers stated that there are no plans to do so (as per Tim Spiers), although they could, of course, always become plans in the future.
