A transfer update from Tim Spiers has calmed the nerves of Wolverhampton Wanderers supporters surrounding the current transfer window.
On Thursday, the Athletic reporter for the Old Gold assured fans that work is going on behind the scenes to ensure incomings this January and there is an ‘unflappable confidence’, which had a calming effect on some supporters.
Sensing increasing panic on social media about a lack of signings but behind the scenes at Wolves there's an unflappable confidence that signings are on the way. A senior figure tells me that everything is in hand and, while not a straightforward process, deals will be done.

Patience tim! Although we are struggling for depth we don’t want to rush a signing that’s going to be the wrong signing and potientially upset the group! I trust Nuno and fosun completely.

Fosun are incredibly competent, incredibly committed and incredibly good at making profit. Relax.

Cheers Tim. Would rather wait until end Jan and get right players. 2 games with current squad then 14 Prem games plus Europa with Boly, Jota plus 2-3 new quality additions. No rush….#wwfc

Do you have faith in Fosun and Nuno Espirito Santo to get the right players brought in this window?Yes, they'll make it happenNo, it won't work out for us |
Panic had arisen among supporters early in the window (as per Express and Star), however, after the departures of Jesus Vallejo, Rafa Mir and Patrick Cutrone without replacements, worries skyrocketed.
Now, though, due to Tim Spiers’ assured tweet (as per Tim Spiers), some supporters seemed to be more at ease with the situation surrounding Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad.
Not sure what the panic is about. Yes we’re a bit short handed for Southampton and Liverpool, but after that we’ve got 9 days before the next game. By then Jota, Vinagre and Boly could/should be back + signings WILL be done. Everyone needs to chill, Fosun will pull it out the bag

Patience is a lost commodity in modern life.

I have a scarf that I bought when I came to the UK last summer. It says “Trust in Nuno”. I bought that scarf for a reason

I have faith in everyone. We finally have a board and team we can put complete trust in .

What do we think?
When even Nuno Santo himself is claiming that Wolves need new players through the door “ASAP” (as per Express and Star), then it is clear why the Old Gold faithful are a little worried.
However, following Spiers’ post, some supporters to feel much more calm around the situation of transfers and that can only really be a good thing.
