Wolverhampton Wanderers fans have aired their frustrations after Tim Spiers shared the news that Watford appealed Christian Kabasele’s red card.
The Belgian-Congolese Watford man was shown a red card in the New Year’s Day clash with Wolves after VAR overturned an initial yellow card decision (per Watford Observer), and the appeal had Wolves fans furious.
Watford are appealing against the Kabasele red card from yesterday. VAR had overturned the ref’s decision to give a yellow

Should get an extra game ban for that! Clear red card.

The referee should be struck off the Premier League list for not showing the red card in the first place!Diogo right through on goal for a clear scoring chance only to be yanked bank by that cheat and Watford want the rules changing for them? The referee not fit for Sunday League.

Should VAR's use in the Premier League be halted immediately?Yes, there is no place for itNo, it is a work in progress |
In a week where VAR raised its ugly head in discussions following the Old Gold’s clash with Liverpool (per Birmingham Mail), the red card again delivered another talking point.
With Wolves fans still infuriated over the happenings at Anfield due to the new technology, they launched their latest tirade on the Video Assistant Referee.
The VAR decision was incorrect imo as the error wasn’t clear and obvious, can’t see it being overturned tho would make VAR look even more ridiculous than it already is

Why can’t they overturn some of the ridiculous offside decisions which chalked out goals too?

VAR will realise it was against wolves and send flowers and an apology naturally.

If a VAR decision overturns a referee’s decision and then gets overturned itself – conclusive proof that VAR is in fact – USE-LESS. Has no use. Is redundant. No longer required. Has no purpose in our game. Thank you.

What do we think?
As it transpired, the appeal was turned down and the red card upheld (per Sky Sports), however, with the recent happenings between VAR and Wolves, it is clear to see why the appeal and incident was such a cause for anger.
