Some Celtic fans have made it clear that they want to see West Ham United target Olivier Ntcham leave the club in the ongoing January transfer window.
French outlet FootMercato has reported on Wednesday that the Hammers are looking to sign the midfielder and are in advanced talks for the former Manchester City man. The report went onto state that Lyon and Marseille were both interested in Ntcham in the summer of 2019, but the move never materialised.
And, Neil Lennon has come out and said that he’s not going anywhere, so it remains to be seen.
Is Ntcham the worst midfielder at Celtic?
He is, sell him
He's not that bad
Many Celtic fans have paid heed to this news. A Hoops-related page called Celtic Gossip posted about it and many fans made it clear that they won’t miss Ntcham if he left.
If this was to go through, it shows the Celtic board are only interested in the bank balance and not the team HH

Unfortunately I wouldn’t put it past Lawell.

Lawwell only cares about the balance sheet and his own bonus. He has no interest in buying quality to replace out going players. He will always choose the cheap option. Seen it with Dembele, Armstrong and Tierney. Edouard, MacGregor and Ajer will be next.

If the money is right he’s gone unfortunately for the fans

Would be madness to sell him, but Lawwell will if he can. No replacement would be purchased, we would be short of depth and quality in CM and Brown and McGregor both forced to play 40/50 games. Another window where we would be coming out in a weaker state. Ridiculous.

Would be horrendous to lose Oli at this stage. Everyone was calling it an error not to have him start the Rangers game but wants him punted now?..

Celtic had signed Ntcham from current Premier League giants Manchester City in the summer of 2017. He came to the club for a fee of around £4.5m, as he penned a four-year contract at Parkhead at that point.
This season, Ntcham has made 32 appearances in all competitions for the Hoops. He has racked up a tally of six goals and a total of four assists for the Parkhead-based outfit.
The midfielder was good for the club last season too, scoring six goals and racking up one assist. He made 37 appearances in all competitions, with 16 coming in the Premiership.
What do we think?
Ntcham is 23 and Celtic will get a good fee from his sale. But at this point in the winter transfer window, they will not have enough time to replace him if Ntcham does leave. Selling him in the summer window will make more sense if they have the time to replace him.
