Spurs fans were frustrated to hear that Bordeaux are reportedly interested in signing Victor Wanyama on loan before Friday’s deadline.
According to French journalist Mickael McCandless on Twitter (via Talking THFC), the Ligue 1 side have made the Kenyan their top priority before the deadline. It seems as if they are only interested in taking the 28-year-old midfielder on loan, which has frustrated a lot of Spurs fans who want to see him leave permanently.
Wanyama has made just one start in the League Cup this season, with three late substitute appearances and is clearly surplus to requirements at the North London club. The defensive-midfielder joined Spurs from Southampton in 2016 and has gone on to make 97 appearances in nearly four years at the club.
What do you think Spurs should do with Wanyama?
Sell him permanently
Loan him
Keep him
Reaction from Spurs fans to the reported interest in Wanyama can be seen in the tweets below.

Enough outgoings. Give us a striker! The club is insane if it’s genuinely considering going half a season with no recognised striker?! All the top clubs have AT LEAST TWO!

These Spurs fans clearly want to see Wanyama leave on a permanent deal, even if it is at a cut-price.
What do we think?
Wanyama’s injury troubles and lack of appearances this season suggest that Spurs should just cash in on the former Celtic man, however perhaps a successful loan spell could boost his value ahead of a summer sale.
