Spurs fans were shocked to see the club linked with a move for Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha this week.
According to the Daily Mirror (via Daily Hotspur), Zaha’s new agent Pini Zahavi is trying to negotiate a deal with Spurs for the Ivory Coast international, but the North London club are not willing to meet the Eagles’ current asking price of £80 million. The 27-year-old is reportedly keen on a move away from Selhurst Park but he currently looks unlikely to make the move to Jose Mourinho’s side unless the two sides can agree on a lower price.
Zaha has been one of Crystal Palace’s most influential players over the last few years; with 56 goals and 68 assists in over 300 games for the Eagles in two different spells. The winger rejoined the South London club following a disappointing spell with Manchester United in 2015 for just £3 million and he has seen his value soar in his five years with Palace, with the Ivorian now valued at £49.5 million.
Would Zaha be a good signing for Spurs?
Yes

These Spurs fans seem to agree that Zaha is not worth his £80 million asking price, with some suggesting that Daniel Levy may well be able to negotiate a good price for the winger.
What do we think?
Zaha has been in decent form so far for Palace; averaging a 7.18 rating in the Premier League but it would be a big surprise if Spurs paid anywhere near £80 million for the winger. Spurs’ priorities should be improving their struggling defence in the January window and unless they can bring in Zaha for closer to his transfermarkt value then this one looks very unlikely.
