Spurs fans were less than impressed with former manager Harry Redknapp after he told the media that he believes that Jose Mourinho’s side can cope without Harry Kane.
In a video posted by Football Daily (via LastWordonSpurs), the 72-year-old spoke highly of the Spurs squad, saying that he thinks they have enough quality in the squad to “cope” without Harry Kane, after the striker was ruled out until April with a hamstring injury. Redknapp managed Spurs between 2008 and 2012; winning 99 of his 199 games in charge of the North London club before his sacking at the end of the 2011/12 campaign.
Spurs currently sit sixth in the Premier League following disappointing results against Norwich and Southampton and look to be without any match fit striker as they prepare to take on Liverpool on Saturday. Although Redknapp believes that the Spurs squad will cope without their talisman, Mourinho is seemingly keen on signing a replacement during the transfer window, with the North London club linked with a wide range of names.
Is Redknapp right to suggest Spurs can cope without Kane?

So out of touch.. He’s a snake who secretly wants us to fail… Bitter

We haven’t had enough quality to cope WITH him let alone without him!

How much did Levy pay him to say this nonsense

Harry is absolutely deluded, always has been. That’s why he accepted Nelson and Saha when we were pushing for the title.

Sure ‘Arry, whatever you say, he would have gone out and re-signed Defoe by now already and would be lining up Kranjcar to come in and “do a job” if he was in this situation.

He’s quality. Has he been paid by Levy or does he want to mess with the current managers wishes? Perhaps he feels Levy listens to him.

These Spurs fans are clearly less than impressed with Redknapp’s comments, with some even suggesting that he was paid by Daniel Levy to say what he said.
What do we think?
Spurs may well “cope” without Kane, but they need to do more than cope if they want to get a top-four spot and it would certainly be a surprise if the club don’t bring in a replacement for the prolific striker during this month’s window.
