Spurs fans were less than impressed with Lucas Moura’s display during the 2-1 win over Norwich City on Wednesday night.
The Brazilian earned a 7.0 rating from whoscored for his performance but fans clearly felt that he had a poor game for Jose Mourinho’s side. The 27-year-old once again was deployed as a striker by his Portuguese manager, due to Spurs’ lack of options up front following the long-term injury suffered by Harry Kane earlier this month.
Moura has now made 89 appearances for the North London club since joining in January 2018 but has scored just 22 times for the club. It seems strange that Mourinho continues to utilise the former PSG man in this position; considering he has no goals in six games playing there, compared to four goals in seven games when used as a right-winger.
Where is Moura's best position?

Reaction from Spurs fans to Moura’s performance against Norwich can be seen in the tweets below.
You’d hope the quality of players like Son would get you the old goal out of nothing but they haven’t been coming. Hopefully the goal will help him.
Moura I’m never sure about, has unreal individual ability but seems to lack a football brain.
Soton gonna be a tough game #THFC

One fan even stated that he was worse than former Spurs man Clinton N’Jie ever was, which is rather harsh as the African attacker managed zero goals in his 14 appearances for the Lilywhites.
Lucas Moura is worse than N’Jie ever was

Moura is a liability.
Son is inconsistent.
Dier is pointless.
Vertonghen is toast.
Sessegnon needs to be attacking.

Lucas Moura absolutely awful at passing a football

These Spurs fans clearly didn’t rate Moura’s performance against Norwich, with many taking the time to comment on the winger’s passing ability.
What do we think?
It is perhaps unfair to criticise Moura, who is valued at £36 million (as per Transfermarkt), when he is being played out of position, it will be interesting to see if his form improves should Spurs bring in a natural striker during this month’s transfer window.
