Spurs fans were delighted to hear that Giovani Lo Celso has joined the club on a permanent transfer from Real Betis.
Spurs announced the news on their Twitter page on Tuesday afternoon, before also relaying the news that Christian Eriksen has departed for Inter. The 23-year-old midfielder has been in impressive form of late and after Mourinho confirmed that the club would exercise their option to sign him permanently last week, it was no surprise to see him sign a deal this week.
Lo Celso was brought in by Mauricio Pochettino during the summer on an initial loan deal from Real Betis but struggled to make much of an impact at the North London club under the former manager, with a hip injury suffered on international duty preventing him from making many appearances. However, recent performances from the Argentinian international have convinced Mourinho to make his move permanent and it’s safe to say the majority of Spurs fans are delighted.

These Spurs fans are clearly delighted with the signing of Lo Celso and will be hoping to see him continue to improve under Mourinho.
What do we think?
It was important that Spurs brought in a replacement for Eriksen and Lo Celso’s recent performances, most notably his excellent display against Norwich, are proof enough that he can be a very effective player in Mourinho’s Spurs side.
