Spurs fans were treated on Twitter this week to some footage of Giovani Lo Celso from the weekend’s 1-1 draw with Southampton in the FA Cup.
The footage, which was posted on Spurs’ official Twitter page, shows the Argentinian midfielder turning and beating several Southampton players before playing in Erik Lamela, whose pass found Heung-Min Son to open the scoring at St Mary’s. Many fans were hoping to see the on-loan Real Betis man sign permanently before Friday’s deadline, with his recent performances having convinced a lot of Lilywhites that he is the man to replace the departed Christian Eriksen, and they’ve now got their wish as he’s signed permanently.
The 23-year-old continued his excellent recent form in the draw with Southampton at the weekend; earning an 8/10 rating from Football.London.
