What do we think?
Gareth Bale was a fine servant to the football club during his time there. Signed from Southampton for £13m and then eventually sold to Real Madrid for over £90m, he went on to achieve incredible things – winning four UEFA Champions Leagues and a La Liga title.
Arguably one of Wales’ greatest ever footballers, there’s no doubt it would likely take a huge amount of money to bring him back to the Premier League and it seems unlikely that Spurs would be willing or able to open their cheque book in order to bring the 30-year-old back.
The nostalgic fans would love to see him return but it remains highly unlikely.
