A lot of Newcastle United fans have responded to the news that Olivier Giroud rejected a move to Tyneside yesterday.
Keith Downie claims that the Toon made an offer to bring the 33-year-old to St James’ Park, but the World Cup winner turned the move down because he is believed to want to stay in London or move to Europe.
Are you annoyed that Newcastle have missed out on Giroud?
Yes, would have been a good signing
No, he is past it
Newcastle added Danny Rose on loan for the rest of the season and were hoping to bring Giroud in as well, but now that he has turned them down, and Steve Bruce also confirmed that the club would now not be bringing a striker to Tyneside.
However, these Toon fans are annoyed that Giroud has turned them down.

Wouldn’t have had Giroud anyway lazy type of player should have been going for Jarrod Bowen instead of wasting time on him.

What do we think?
The Frenchman, who is valued at £8.1m by Transfermarkt, was thought to be initially keen on a move to Tyneside at the beginning of the month, but now it looks like he has rejected the Toon’s advances and is staying with Chelsea.
Giroud would have been a good signing for Newcastle, but it looks as though he will remain in London with Chelsea.
