Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Sandro has admitted he rushed his decision to leave the north London club. The Brazilian left to join Queens Park Rangers in September 2014 and has played for no fewer than seven clubs since.
It’s been reported via Ricky Sacks on Twitter, who relayed information from an interview with Globo Esporte, that the player has said: “I regret leaving Tottenham. I had three more years of contract, had just renewed. I rushed. I was one of those loved by the fans, by the team.”
This message prompted some Spurs fans to speak out about just how much they miss their former midfielder and ponder over what could have been.
Did Sandro leave Spurs too early?

Loved Sandro, he’d have been perfect today but was never the same after injury.

Without injuries I think he would have become some player to be honest!

What do we think?
Spurs signed Sandro from the Brazilian club Internacional for £9m in 2010 and he went on to make 106 appearances for the Lilywhites. It’s fair to say he never fulfilled the promise that surrounded his arrival and a series of injuries certainly hampered his progress.
At a time when Spurs are struggling with injuries in the midfield area in particular, it’s natural for the fans when reminded to reminisce over a tough-tackling former player.
However, the reality is Sandro wasn’t good enough to establish himself at Spurs and in this case, nostalgia may have clouded some supporters’ judgement.
