Spurs fans were full of praise for Serge Aurier after the right-back produced another strong display in the win against Norwich City on Wednesday night.
After a post from Hotspur Related revealed to fans that Aurier picked up his seventh assist of the season in the win against Daniel Farke’s side, with only Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold having more for a defender, fans were quick to praise the 27-year-old. The Ivory Coast international crossed for Dele Alli to score in the first half and earned a 7.99 rating for his performance in the win, which saw him named man of the match by whoscored.
Aurier has been in superb form so far this season; having now averaged an impressive 7.33 rating in all competitions and he now looks to have become one of the most consistent performers in Jose Mourinho’s side. The North London club signed the right-back from Paris Saint Germain in 2017 but he has been forced to wait for his opportunity as the first-choice right-back, with a significant amount of his 64 appearances for the club coming this season, following the departure of Kieran Trippier in the summer.
Has Aurier been Spurs' best player this season?

These Spurs fans were clearly impressed with the stat involving Aurier and will be hoping that he continues to improve under Mourinho.
What do we think?
Aurier has been one of Spurs’ best players this season and now rivals Harry Kane with the highest average rating out of anyone in the squad. If he keeps it up then there’s no reason why he can’t be considered a top right-back in the Premier League.
