Fans of Everton have shown their love for a Twitter post from Bernard following the 2-2 draw with Newcastle United.
On Wednesday night, the 27-year-old Brazilian tweeted with a photo from the game and the caption: ‘Always trying my best’ (as per Bernard), which presented supporters with the opportunity to wax lyrical.

The talented winger was a key feature in the side’s stalemate with the Toon, picking up a 7/10 performance rating and the assist for Moise Kean’s first goal in Everton blue (as per Liverpool Echo).
His assist on Tuesday night was, surprisingly, only his second of the season, having also scored two goals in his 18 appearances in all competitions (as per Transfermarkt), however, fans were still keen to gush.

As one supporter alluded to, it was probably the wrong decision for Carlo Ancelotti to substitute the 27-year-old for Tom Davies with around ten minutes to go.
His energetic runs and high passing success were vital in driving Everton further up the pitch and could have been key in relieving pressure from the Toffees’ goal in the final few minutes.
