Sheffield United fans were treated to some interesting transfer news when the club announced the signing of Jack Robinson from Nottingham Forrest. The defender joins Chris Wilder’s side from the Championship club and can play almost anywhere across a defensive backline.
But when the club announced the signing, some fans were cautiously optimistic. Despite him not being the flashiest of signings, they trust Wilder’s judgement. They claim that the manager hasn’t failed them in the past when it comes to unusual transfers. If he isn’t good enough for the team right now, the manager will make sure that he is.

To all the Forest fans doubting this signing. John Fleck £0, Ends Stevens £0, David McGoldrick £0, Jack O’Connell £300k, Ollie Norwood £1.2m and big bucks John Egan £4m. Wilder coaches & improves players and gets them playing as a team. UTB

It might just be that wilder sees something that we don’t. I am pretty sure when we started off in league one he made choices with signings that we thought was odd and look at us now. Have faith.

Fans said sane about a few of our signings, many have stepped up as you can see from our position this season. If he doesn’t then he will be moved on. CW doesn’t mess about.

Do you think Jack Robinson will turn out to be a great signing?
Yes
No
One fan quite simply thinks the signing will be enough to bring them to the top four.

What do we think?
It is unknown whether Robinson will come in and become a regular starter right away, but the move does offer Wilder some added squad depth to his team. If Robinson does get on the field, he will be looking to prove the optimistic Sheffield United fans right, and reward Wilder’s faith in him.
