Back-to-back games against Arsenal and Manchester City have resulted in Sheffield United taking just one point away from their last two games. Blades fans may have thought that they were on course to pick up two with the game still tied 0-0 before Sergio Aguero scored the matches only goal in the 73rd minute. But the City onslaught was constant, with Pep Guardiola’s side achieving 18 shots throughout the match. This kept Dean Henderson, who saved a penalty during the game, quite busy.
After the match, Chris Wilder provided a very honest assessment of the match. While many managers would have called their team unlucky or demanded more from the players, Wilder put his hands up and admitted his side couldn’t have expected much more from the game.
“I’m not a great loser and sometimes I’m not the best when we draw but we couldn’t have done much more tonight,” said Wilder (Sheffield United).
Fans respected his honest outlook on the game and called him the best manager in the league. One fan thinks it’s a pleasure to be a Blades fan during Wilder’s era. Others think he will bring the club to a spot in the top five, and therefore a spot in Europe next season.
Very sincere, honest and feet on the ground! Along with Nuno at Wolves, pound for pound easily the best manager and man manager in the Premier!!! Europa League here we come!! UTB ????????????????

This man is the reason Sheffield United are creating a legacy right now. These years will have a huge impact on the next 10-30 years at Bramall Lane. Just unbelievable

Do you believe Chris Wilder will lead the team to European football?
Yes
No
One fan would be quite happy to forego a spot in Europe for now though. He still thinks the club needs a bit of time to settle into the league.
Class performance. Wouldnt want Europe next year. No rush. Another season after this to settle in would be best imo. We are not a million miles off results from top established teams now.

What do we think?
Had he managed to get a result out of the game it would have been a fantastic result for Wilder. At the end of the day, however, he recognises that Manchester City are one of the best in the business.
