Sheffield United have been one of the standout performers this season. With the club only just achieving promotion to the Premier League last season, the Blades are already in a position where they are challenging for fifth place (Sky Sports). Much of this is down to the influence of manager Chris Wilder.
After the match, the manager spoke in a press conference about the match. While he praised his opposition, Wilder demanded more from his side (Sheffield United). He wanted them to challenge the league leaders more than they did.
now that is refreshing so honest & humble know’s we where well beat by class side , other manager’s could certainly learn a thing or two off wilder he speaks the truth

I knew you wouldn’t be happy gaffer, the slip didn’t help but they was/are just different class tonight. The lads tried but couldn’t get near them to kick them let alone tackle them. Liverpool was excellent without even having to try. On to the next. UTB

Happy this is his view and he always wants more. For me, im still happy to not being going to Port Vale and Swindon Town

Great assessment from the gaffer, gives credit where it’s due without blasting our lads. Not at our best today against a very good side but remember where we have come from and dream where we will end up. He’s one of our own

Accepts nothing less than a good effort. Liverpool were good, but I’m glad that Wilder isn’t using that as an excuse!

Were you disappointed with Sheffield United's performance against Liverpool?
Yes
No
One fan pleads with the club to back the manager. He recognises the influence Wilder has on this team and he wants to make sure he is given all the tools to succeed in his position.
100% spot on as ever. Back this manager Utd. Yes he’s a Blade but he will walk unless you share his ambition.

What do we think?
Sheffield United have a lot to be thankful for this season. Their players have been performing well under Wilders’ system, which is reflected in their league position. But without the manager, they may not even be in this league in the first place. Fans will hope that the manager is backed going forward. Not necessarily to improve the squad, but to keep the manager at the club.
