These Newcastle United fans have been disappointed with what they have seen from Joelinton so far this season.
In the 21 Premier League outings Joelinton has had this season, the Brazilian has only been able to score one goal. This has left many of these fans feeling short-changed from the £39.60m they paid for him from Hoffenheim.
The last 10 matches have hardly been Joelinton’s greatest form, with the 23-year-old failing to net and getting just one assist, however, the Brazilian did pick up two yellow cards, meaning he’s been carded more times in his last 10 games than he has scored goals all season.
Here’s what the Newcastle fans had to say about Joelinton on Twitter, with some sharing some rather harsh words:
What next for Joelinton?https://t.co/NB68UjeQSU

Needs to get fit, he’s too heavy.
Gain a yard of pace then give him another go. Desperately needs to work on sprinting from a dead start— Steven Davison (@Steven9Davison) January 6, 2020
The dole queue.

Would you like to see Joelinton moved on?
No way!
Yes, he's awful!
During Joelinton’s 36 games at Hoffenheim, the Brazilian managed to score 11 goals and get nine assists. This included one goal and assist in the UEFA Champions League for the German side, which perhaps justifies why some of the Toon Army are disappointed with what he has managed to produce so far.
He needs to learn a lot from Andy Carroll – if he has the right attitude… time will tell

What Do We Think?
Joelinton, who is valued at £27 million (as per Transfermarkt), has been no way near impressive this season. Scoring just one goal from 21 Premier League appearances, with 20 of them being starts is unacceptable by someone playing in the centre-forward position.
We would consider dropping the Brazilian for a game or two, which might send a message to him that this current form is not good enough and that could just get the ball rolling again.
