A lot of Newcastle United fans have responded to the news that Olivier Giroud will not be joining them as he looks to be going to Italy for a reunion with Antonio Conte.
Giroud was linked with a move to the Toon earlier in the week with the club making an offer to take the Frenchman on loan, but it looks like he has decided that a move to Internazionale is more to his taste.
Should Newcastle be disappointed they missed out on Giroud?
Yes, proven Premier League goalscorer
No, he is past his best
This news has not surprised these Newcastle, who were not expecting their club to sign Giroud.
Why rumoured target Olivier Giroud is going to Inter Milan and not #nufc:

What do we think?
The 33-year-old Frenchman needs a move to have a chance of playing for France in the European Championships later this year.
An initial report suggested that he was keen on the idea of a move to Tyneside, but it seems that Inter Milan have won the race for Giroud.
Newcastle must now move on in their search for a striker to boost a forward line that have managed one Premier League goal between them all season.
