Manchester City defender Aymeric Laporte has posted some footage of him kicking a ball in training as he continues his recovery from a knee injury that has seen him miss the majority of the season.
The Frenchman looks set to return to action in the coming weeks and the short clip has sparked huge excitement amongst the City faithful.
Laporte suffered the injury during the Premier League match versus Brighton back in September and has not featured since – which some believe is a key reason as to why City find themselves so far behind the leaders Liverpool.
Is Laporte's return enough to inspire Champions League glory?

What do we think?
Laporte’s return will give Manchester City a huge boost as they look to close the gap on Liverpool and bring the UEFA Champions League trophy home. Despite the video clearly showing the defender doing some ball work, he’s not expected to be available until next month at the earliest. Therefore the City fans will need to remain patient – but it’s certainly a step in the right direction for the 25-year-old.
