Manchester City hero David Silva has verbally agreed to join Inter Miami this summer, according to Italian outlet Tuttomercatoweb – ending his almost ten-year association with the club.
The Spaniard announced back in June that he would be leaving the Etihad in search of a new challenge and will be hoping he can finish off his City career by lifting the UEFA Champions League for the first time.
Silva has won the World Cup and two European Championships with Spain as well as four Premier League titles with the Cityzens and regardless of how long he goes on to play for, that would cap off a marvellous playing career.
Indeed, a number of fans have been reacting to the news that he could be joining David Beckham’s franchise in the summer with positive remarks after City Chief relayed the news to their followers on Twitter.

What do we think?
A generational talent and the epitome of class – David Silva will surely have to go down as one of the Premier League’s greatest ever when he does eventually depart for pastures new. His vision and technical ability, in particular, ensured he stood out from the crowd and he has had as big an influence as any on City’s rise.
The 33-year-old has played 417 times for the Manchester club and in that time has made 210 direct goal contributions. Not only has he been incredibly effective but he’s always displayed incredible flair and continues to play the game in the right spirit. Perhaps only when he’s gone will the rest of the division stand up and take notice of how rare of a talent the former Valencia star truly is.
