Manchester City are interested in signing Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Adama Traore according to 90min. The 23-year-old put in a stellar performance when Wolves beat City at Molineux last month – highlighting the progress he has made under Nuno Espirito Santo.

The former Barcelona, Aston Villa and Middlesbrough star’s performance versus Pep Guardiola’s side earned him a 10/10 rating that evening according to WhoScored.com and he seems to be making a habit of causing Man City problems. It was his brace that ensured Wolves left the Etihad back in October with all three points too meaning Santo’s side have taken maximum points from the Champions this season.

Given the damage he’s done to City in recent times, how have the club’s supporters reacted to the reports linking him with a move to Manchester?

What do we think?

In the past, Traore has struggled to maintain a level of consistency that would see him develop into one of the Premier League’s top players. In terms of what he can offer, there are very few players with the kind of power and pace he possesses – making him a very dangerous winger.

To Nuno Espirito Santo’s credit, he has discovered a way of getting the very best out of Traore but that’s not to say the player himself doesn’t deserve immense credit for finally knuckling down and focusing on developing his game.

An in-form Traore would be an asset to any team but City’s priorities in terms of where they need to strengthen lay in other areas and so a £70m move seems highly unlikely.
