Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus proved the match-winner versus Everton despite fans calling for him to be replaced by Sergio Aguero at half-time.
In the end, the Argentinian remained an unused substitute and City went on to claim all three points but the opinion at half-time evidences the lack of trust some have in Jesus despite his impressive goal return this season.
Would you like to see Aguero and Jesus selected as a pair?

What do we think?
Gabriel Jesus certainly proved his doubters wrong on this occasion; criticism of the young Brazilian seems a little unfair when you consider the calibre of the player he’s been asked to deputise for in recent months. At just 22-years-old, he has a huge future ahead of him but playing for a club where the expectation is as high as it at City, being scrutinised is part and parcel of the job.
The return of Sergio Aguero to fitness will likely lead to Jesus’ game time being cut significantly, but in the pair, Guardiola has, arguably, two of the league and European football’s top strikers at his disposal.
Options throughout the remainder of the campaign will likely prove key if City are to close the gap on Liverpool and challenge for the UEFA Champions League title.
These supporters could well of had egg on their face if Guardiola made the change they had been calling for, so perhaps, they are a little fortunate they aren’t nursing any other potential headaches as 2020 begins.
