These Liverpool fans have enjoyed mocking Jordan Pickford after Curtis Jones’ wonder strike flew past the 25-year-old in the Everton net.
In the 71st minute of the Merseyside derby, Divock Origi set up young team-mate Curtis Jones who then rifled his shot past Jordan Pickford in the Everton net, which turned out to be the winning goal.
However, it was the Toffees goalkeeper who these Liverpool fans were talking about, with many of them mocking his efforts to save the shot after the match.
Here’s what the Liverpool fans had to say about Jordan Pickford after the Reds’ Merseyside derby victory:
Pickford’s arms were too small to catch or save that #lfc

The kids are alright #LFC A very impressive performance from the young lads. If only Pickford had regular sized arms maybe it would have been different.

Is Jordan Pickford the worst keeper in the Premier League?
Yes
No
Jones was named WhoScored’s man of the match, with the 18-year-old finishing the match with a rating of 7.5/10.
However, whilst fans would have been delighted with his superb effort, many found it hilarious to mock the England international shot-stopper on Twitter.
Absolutely brilliant how Liverpool’s #2 goalkeeper, Adrian, is infinity better than Everton and England’s #1, Pickford. Wouldn’t swap them even for the £30m Everton paid for him!
What an astute signing Adrian has been! #LFC @AdriSanMiguel— Ashley Rose (@Ashleyrose66) January 5, 2020
Curtis Jones you absute best. Makes Pickford looks useless and daft. Absolute worldly. Tops off a quality performance #lfc Scouser in our team.

What Do We Think?
The strike from Jones was pretty much unstoppable anyway, but the fact it’s happened in the Merseyside derby is probably why Pickford, who is valued at £31.5 million (as per Transfermarkt), is getting so much stick for it.
Nevertheless, for the 18-year-old to have scored in such an important fixture, just goes to show what can happen when you take a risk and play the kids.
