The 19-year-old defensive midfielder is currently valued at £27 million according to TransferMarkt. So far this season, Tonali has made 18 appearances in Serie A, with the Italian playing 90 minutes in all but three of those appearances (per TransferMarkt). With the latest news breaking that Tonali has been watched by the Merseyside club and has been identified as a potential future target, this has got some Liverpool fans very excited on Twitter.

What do we think?
If Liverpool do sign the midfielder, he could be a long-term replacement for Adam Lallana whose contract is set to expire at the end of the current campaign.
Although, with Fabinho, Naby Keita, Jordan Henderson, Georginio Wijnaldum, James Milner and Adam Lallana already at the club, perhaps the Reds can wait to potentially sign him.
