Aston Villa fans have been fuming on Twitter over the latest transfer update surrounding Krzysztof Piatek.
This comes after Villa fan Twitter account @villareport shared a post on their page relaying information about how Villa aren’t interested in Piatek. However, it appears as if the source of the original story is incorrect as @JPercyTelegraph (via Birmingham Mail) has provided the news that the attacker isn’t a target for the Midlands club.
Would Krzysztof Piatek be a suitable replacement for Wesley?
Yes
No
This post then gathered many replies from Villa fans who were not best pleased with this latest update.
Here’s a sample of Villa fans reacting to the post:

It was reported earlier in the week that Piatek was indeed a transfer target for Villa this month. But with this latest update saying the opposite, some Villa fans have been sharing their disappointments on Twitter.

What do we think?
The 24-year-old, who is currently valued at £28.8 million according to TransferMarkt, could have provided cover for the injured Wesley, Villa’s first-choice striker. Another factor surrounding a potential move for Piatek is the fact that Milan have recently re-signed Zlatan Ibrahimovic who could endanger Piatek’s playing time at the club. If Piatek is indeed not on Villa’s radar, they will need to look elsewhere to find a suitable replacement for the injured Wesley.
