These Liverpool fans have been reacting James Pearce’s update, which states that their FIFA World Champions badge can be worn during their FA Cup match against Everton.
James Pearce stated on Twitter: “Liverpool will wear the FIFA World Champions gold badge on their shirts for Sunday’s clash with Everton.” This means that Liverpool can show off their new badge against bitter Merseyside rivals Everton on 5th January.
Everton have failed to beat Liverpool in their last six meetings, with the latest result being a 5-2 win to the Reds.
Here’s what the Liverpool fans had to say about James Pearce’s update:
Liverpool will wear the FIFA world champions gold badge on their shirts for Sunday’s clash with Everton. Permission granted to wear it in FA Cup as well as Champions League games but not in the Premier League, who only allowed it as a one-off v Wolves. #LFC

How pathetic of the @premierleague for not allowing us to wear the World Club Cup badge in league games. What’s the problem. You’d think they would be proud that an English Premier League Club had achieved the honour? Unbelievable!!!

Will Minamino start against Everton?
Yes
No
Liverpool has won the last three home matches against Everton, however, fatigue could play a part in the match; since 21st December, Liverpool has played against Flamengo, Wolves and Sheffield United.

What Do We Think?
It’s nice that once again the Liverpool fans will be able to see their FIFA World Champions badge being worn by their players. However, they still have a game of football to play against an Everton side who would love nothing more than to spoil the party, so Jurgen Klopp’s side needs to stay focused with this potential banana skin of a match.
