Liverpool fans have been responding on Twitter to Rio Ferdinand’s recent comments regarding Jurgen Klopp’s decision to not manage in Liverpool’s FA Cup replay against Shrewsbury Town.
This comes after a number of different Twitter accounts, including Liverpool news Twitter account @LivEchoLFC, shared a post on their page about the former Manchester United man’s comments.
The post also included an article from the Liverpool Echo that relayed Ferdinand’s quotes originally shared on BT Sport who claimed that Klopp is “taking a liberty” over his decision regarding the FA Cup replay.
Is Jurgen Klopp taking a liberty with the FA Cup replay?
Yes
No
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Liverpool fans who were eager to share their thoughts on Ferdinand’s comments.
Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans responding to the post:

Sorry but who cares what Rio thinks, of the rest of them for that matter. Klopp will do what’s best for Liverpool.

If we weren’t competing for the EPL title and ECL trophy, then maybe he could criticise. Otherwise Klopp knows where the priorities are.

After Klopp’s Liverpool drew 2-2 with Shrewsbury at the weekend resulting in a replay being needed to decide the tie. After the draw, Klopp revealed that he would not play any player in Liverpool’s first-team and that he would not be in the dugout for the replay against the League One side, passing the responsibility over to youth coach Neil Critchley instead.
Nobody cares about his opinion

What do we think?
As a former Manchester United man, Ferdinand’s comments on Klopp were never likely to go down well with the Liverpool fans. Any opportunity to criticise or make fun of Ferdinand, the Liverpool fans will grab it with both hands.
