Would you start Takumi Minamino against West Ham on Wednesday?
Yes
No
Pearce’s post then gathered a lot of replies from Liverpool fans who were keen to share their thoughts on the 25-year-old.
Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans discussing Minamino:
felt like nobody wanted to pass the ball to him tbh.

I think he is trying too hard to impress at the moment and not playing his natural game, he needs to relax a bit and not put so much pressure under himself

He did well but somethimes he was in a great position for a pass but a team mate didnt pass to him. Always have great movement to create confusion on the oppo.

Minamino made his third appearance as a Liverpool player in the 2-2 draw with the League One side at the weekend. After playing 85 minutes of the match, Minamino was given a match rating of 6.2 according to WhoScored. After Pearce shared his reaction to Minamino’s post-match comments, lots of Liverpool fans followed suit and decided to share their own thoughts on the player.
Guy seems overly hard on himself it will come it’s clear he’s quality

He needs to get used to the physical nature over here.
Their players were running right through the back of him and the ref has happy to let it go on.
He’ll get there though.— Unbearable Liverpool Fan (@UnbearableLFC) January 27, 2020
No rush. It will all fall into place soon enough.

What do we think?
It’s good to see that these Liverpool fans are sticking behind Minamino instead of slating him. Like almost any other player, he will need time to adjust and adapt to Liverpool and English football.
