Liverpool fans have been criticising Yasser Larouci on Twitter for his poor display in the Reds’ FA Cup clash with Shrewsbury Town.
This comes after the young full-back put in a less-than-satisfactory performance in the 2-2 draw.
After the match, a number of Liverpool fans took the time to tweet their frustrations with the 19-year-old and his actions in the match.
Does Yasser Larouci have a future at Liverpool?
Yes
No
Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans slating Larouci:
Larouci genuinely won’t make it as a player. Like his profession won’t be football within the next 3 years

Not impressed by Larouci at all, shown nothing offensively and defensively

Larouci looks strong but he gets brushed off the ball with ease every time

The left-back played the full 90 minutes of the match, resulting in the player earning a match rating of 5.9 according to WhoScored, the lowest of any Liverpool player on the pitch. After the match had ended, a lot of Liverpool fans were not reluctant to let their negative feelings on Larouci known.
Not convinced by Larouci at all. He certainly isn’t ready to play instead of Robbo.

It’s embarrassing this by Liverpool! Matip and Lovren have been absolutely woeful! Shrewsbury deserve this and have by far been the better team! Bar Jones we have been awful! Larouci is a shocking player, constantly out of position! Just awful #SHRLIV

What do we think?
It’s quite harsh to single out the teenager for having a bad game. At just 19-years-old, matches like these will be very significant in Larouci’s experience and development as a footballer.
Larouci, who is valued at £1.8 million (as per Transfermarkt), and everyone at the club will be disappointed with the result but the best thing for all now would be to move on instead of overly-criticising the teenager.
