Liverpool fans have been responding on Twitter to the latest comments made by Manchester United manager Ole Gunna Solskjaer.
This comes after football journalist Chris Wheeler shared a post on his official page relaying quotes made by the United boss in his latest press conference.
The Norwegian made a jibe about the Merseyside club saying he “doesn’t expect” United to go 30 years without winning the title as Liverpool did.

This post then gathered a number of replies from Liverpool fans who were eager to share their thought son this latest dig at their club from Solskjaer.

Solskjaer is referring to the fact that Liverpool have failed to win the English League title since the 1989/90 season. This latest dig at the club from the United manager opened the door for lots of Liverpool fans to reply with their less than favourable assessments of their rival club.
They said they would never be in the mess they currently are in now ? and they went 26yrs without a title so it’s possible Utd seem to have forgetton who they were before Ferguson and that was a bang average club

That’s what we said 30 years ago. Utd are the same now. They arent special or unique. The league has caught them up now. I’d be amazed if they won one in the next 10 years.

What do we think?
If a manager makes a jibe at Liverpool, it’s almost guaranteed that some Liverpool fans are going to respond. But considering that it’s a United manager making fun of the Reds just days before the two teams face off against each other, the Liverpool fans would certainly not pass up an opportunity to get one over on their rivals.
