Spurs fans were delighted to hear Jose Mourinho confirm that Spurs are likely to sign Giovani Lo Celso on a permanent deal this month.
In his pre-match conference, Jose Mourinho was asked about Lo Celso and revealed that the club are likely to bring in the Argentinian on a permanent deal during this month’s transfer window (via Alasdair Gold). The 23-year-old is currently on loan at the North London club from Real Betis but it seems as if Spurs are willing to exercise their option to make his stay a permanent one before the transfer window closes.
Since signing on loan, the creative midfielder has found game time a little hard to come by; making just four starts for Spurs in all competitions. The Argentine international missed much of the early season after suffering a hip injury on international duty and was never really afforded much chance to play under Mauricio Pochettino after the 47-year-old was sacked in November.

What do we think?
Lo Celso still looks to be struggling to adapt to the Premier League with recent disappointing displays against Southampton and Norwich, but he could well be the successor to Christian Eriksen; who looks to be on the verge of signing for Inter.
