What do we think?
To pull off two successful sliding tackles in quick succession is a great skill for a midfielder to have. It shows his determination to get the ball back off the opponents as quickly as possible. If Chirivella keeps continuing to show this level of quality, he could well find himself knocking on the door of the first-team for a slightly more prominent role in the near future, though having the likes of Georginio Wijnaldum, Jordan Henderson, Fabinho, Adam Lallana, James Milner and Naby Keita will make it extremely hard for him.
Chirivella played 90 minutes in Liverpool’s recent 1-0 victory over Everton in the FA Cup earning himself a match rating of 6.7 (per WhoScored). This goes to show that Chirivella is capable of doing a job for Liverpool against top opposition in the first-team.
