Leicester City were eliminated from the Carabao Cup at the semi-final stage in dramatic fashion as Aston Villa secured their place at Wembley with a 93rd-minute winner.
Whilst the Foxes simply weren’t good enough as a collective, one player, in particular, has come in for strong criticism in the post-mortem and that’s the 23-year-old winger, Demarai Gray.
Some City fans were angered by the way he defended in the build-up to Trezeguet’s winning goal and they’ve made their feelings known on social media.
Was Demarai Gray to blame for Villa's winner?

What do we think?
There’s no doubt whatsoever that the former Birmingham City star could have done more to prevent the cross that resulted in Aston Villa’s late winner and so the fans have every right to feel upset and angered.
Demarai Gray’s half-hearted attempt to challenge his opponent was symptomatic of the Foxes attitude overall on the night, who simply didn’t match the desire and fight of Dean Smith’s side.
