Supporters of Leicester City have slammed the Foxes for showing footage of the 9-0 victory over Southampton prior to the clash on Saturday.
According to @FoxesofLCFC, the highlights from the 9-0 thrashing were shown, with sound, on the big screen prior to kick off, which had supporters furious.
Actually amazed we played the 9-0 video on big screen whilst Southampton players were warming up, with sound.
It's so much more than merely giving them inspiration to go on and win: it was stupid and unsportsmanlike.@LCFC

They do indeed – but, when you’ve humiliated a team, maybe it’s wise not to put that on as it gets them up for it

Jeez do they not remember what happened at @WatfordFC when they played our missed penalty in the semis on loop before our next game with them? Or was it before the Admin’s time at the club? If so, needs reminding.

I didn’t know that. ?
One word as Rodney would say,” plonkers ” ?
Ralph didn’t need a team talk after playing that….. ?

Should Leicester City stop playing highlights on the big screen prior to kick off?Yes, it's a really silly ideaNo, nothing wrong with it |
The 9-0 hammering back in late October at St. Mary’s Stadium was a record-equalling scoreline in the Premier League (as per BBC).
With the Saints running out as 2-1 victors in the reverse fixture following the highlights being shown prior kick off, some fans held that as the reason why.
Yeah, I always hate it when clubs play clips of them beating us before the game. It’s classless

Yeah it was terrible. I don’t know what they were thinking. It only has an opposite effect!

Very true, quite shocking. LCFC admin messed up there.

Who ever agree to this need to chalk that up to a major fail and experience….muppet move

What do we think?
As many supporters have suggested, it seems a bit silly to replay a victory by such a big margin prior to a clash with the same team, as it will have only written Ralph Hasenhuttl’s pre-match team talk.
Hopefully, for the Foxes, lessons have been learnt and a repeat will not occur should a similar situation arrive in future.
